Will the Vue Coffee Make Be a Better Machine than Keurig Coffee Makers?
Hopefully, the Vue coffee maker will be a better machine. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters - the company owning the Keurig coffeemakers - is now coming out with this new high-end coffee machine. It will have added frother ability to add foam to coffee drinks.
The Vue coffeemaker will use a new kind of coffee packs, the Vue packs, not the K Cups that are patented by the company and used for the Keurig coffeemakers as well as for competitive single serve coffee brewers like the Mr. Coffee single serve coffee makers powered by Keurig. The patent on it expires at this year's end and competition is likely to toughen, so Green Mountains is launching now the new Vue coffee machine to keep playing a leading role in the single serve coffee market that is now dominated by them.
One thing you can be sure at is that the price for the Vue coffee makers will not be lower than the Keurig coffee machines. The Keurig series, running a range of models and prices from about $100 to almost $200, is known for their expensiveness. The Vue machines won't solve that. You'll need to keep paying a high price if you want to use Green Mountains products that keeps growing very high in popularity in the US.
