Have you ever heard of a coffee car?
Right, it's true, a car that drinks coffee. Its engines are fueled by coffee grounds - as weird as it sounds.
We know about millions of humans who are fueled by coffee on a daily basis. But now the coffee car too is powered by fuel created from coffee grounds.
A team of engineers from Britain managed to build a car that runs by coffee fuel at a top speed of 77.5 mph with an average speed of 66.5 mph.
This is a record breaking speed for a car that is fueled by organic waste.
The people who are involved in this invention were inspired by the idea of making use of tons of wasted coffee grounds produced by coffee shops.
The wasted coffee grounds are dried, turned into pellets, cooked up at very high temperatures and transformed into gases that are used to power the engines of the cars.
