Single cup coffee makers are useful if you are a single person or the only person in your household drinking coffee, or if you just want to have a quick single cup of coffee.

You can use dozens of different blends with these coffee machines, regular or gourmet coffee. The Keurig coffee makers use the patented K cups that are inserted in the K cup holder. They eliminate the mess caused by other coffee brewers.

(The Tassimo models brew specialty coffee drinks, including espresso, latte, cappuccino. They include "T-Disc" cups, whereas Keurig use the Kcups and are limited to just coffee, tea, and cocoa drinks.)

One advantage of Keurig coffee makers is that water reservoirs installed in the back of the machines can hold much more water than needed for a single serve coffee, so you don't have to refill after each cup. The reservoirs are removable and easy to clean.

Keurig single serve coffeemaker are sold for about $100, a bit less or more, depending on the model and the store where you buy from.

An important thing to consider when buying the Keurig 1 cup coffe makers is the price of K-cups.

A single cup coffee maker is definitely a convenient machine as a home coffee maker or for office use, especially for those on the go or consuming smaller amounts of coffee.
