My daily morning Fix

The truth is, I cannot live without my cup of coffee first thing in the morning. That and the morning paper. Since I am working from home, I have the 'luxury' of indulging myself before needing to be sitting at my desk promptly at 9:00AM.
Over the decades I have tried all kinds of coffee makers, ranging from the 1 cup filter to the industrial sized coffee urns, the fully automatic machine as well as the instant coffee versions available and convenient when in a rush. However, I must say that I have always preferred ground coffee.
There was a period during which I could drink coffee at any time of day and not feel any adverse effects, i.e. sleeplessness, etc. Also, I prefer a good strong coffee tasting like coffee.
When traveling, I have never been fond of hotel coffees. The same can be said for the majority of restaurants. I have always felt as if they were coming from the same source.
Once restaurants made a larger choice of coffees such as espressos and the likes available, having a cup on the run became more enjoyable. Whenever I traveled to a coffee producing country, I made sure to pick up a package of the local brand.
Today my machine of choice is a Nespresso. Why? It is easy to manipulate, but most importantly the quality and variety of coffees available is excellent. Each cup is as good as the last one.
It is a good start to my day.
