Consider a commercial coffee-maker if you intend to use it for large offices, groups, break-rooms, cafes, meetings, gatherings, seminars, parties and other events and occasions. Here are some things to consider when purchasing a commercial coffee brewer or coffee percolator. Think about following features and capacities:
Commercial coffeemakers are either brewers like the 12 cup coffee maker machines and the like, that have the capacity to brew many cups of coffee and use one or more warmer; or commercial coffee urns and percolators that can make many cups of coffee, like 40, 50 or even 100 cups. Note that when referring to a coffee maker, the amount of “cups” that are listed for its capacity often refers to the small sized cups, like 5oz, not the larger 8oz. Coffee urns are made of aluminum or stainless steel and are easy to clean. You can buy commercial coffee urns for less than $100. If you need it for a very large audience, you may want to consider the 100 cups coffee urn, that is a larger size coffee percolator and can brew as many as 100 cups of coffee in about 1.5 hours. The coffee urns keep the coffee hot for hours after brewing. Coffee urns can be noisy when perking, which can be somewhat annoying. Because of the longer time it takes to brew large quantities of coffee, plan ahead and start early so that you have the coffee maker ready when needed.
