Black & Decker DCM18 Brew 'N Go Coffeemaker.

This Black Decker coffeemaker brews a single serving of coffee straight into a 15-once thermal coffee mug that comes with a lid and easy-grip handle.

The one cup coffee brewer can also heat water for tea, hot chocolate, or instant foods like noodles, soup, or oatmeal.

The coffee maker is small and compact. It fits easily on the counter-top or office deck. You can use it as an "on the go" travel coffee maker as well.

It has an auto shut-off and an on-off switch. It includes a permanent reusable filter, although you can use paper filters too.

It is practical as a basic personal coffee maker for one single cup of coffee.

The single serve coffee maker brews quickly and hot.

Note: use coarser ground for this Black and Decker coffe-maker to avoid grounds entering the water reservoir and the mug.

You can use your own ceramic or other coffee mug that fits well into the coffee maker.

Be careful when pouring water in the reservoir as its opening is small and the water may spill.

Check out some reported drawbacks at the next review of the Black and Decker DCM18S single brew coffee maker, much of which is true to this model too.

Black and Decker Single Cup Brew 'n Go With "Stainless Steel" Travel Mug

single cup coffee maker
Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Travel Mug

This nice-looking, simple one cup coffe maker brews a decent hot (some say too hot while others complain of not "really" hot, as common for electric drip coffee makers) cup of coffee and it does so quickly, in about 5 minutes, as usual for small coffee makers.

It is much like the other Black and Decker DCM18 single serve coffee maker reviewed above, but this one has a mug that is stainless steel on the outside.

The coffee machine has a small footprint and takes up little space. It can be used for home and office. It is designed as a coffee maker "on-the-go".

It can also heat water for tea, hot chocolate, and instant foods like oatmeal and soup.

It has a permanent reusable filter that is easy to rinse and clean at the sink or in the dishwasher (the company says it's dishwasher-safe). This eliminates the need to use disposable paper-filters, but if you want to use them you can.

The Black and Decker Brew 'n Go includes an automatic shut-off feature, shutting off automatically once the brewing is done.

It includes a travel mug (stainless steel from the outside, plastic inside) with a lid, and it brews the coffee straight into the mug.

There are some complaints of users of the Black&Decker coffeemaker about water overflow and coffee getting into the water reservoir and the coffee mug.

You can try leaving some space and not filling the reservoir up to the top. This was helpful for some people.

Be aware, too, that the coffee maker may continue to drip after taking out the mug, so this can mess up a bit your counter. You can avoid the mess by putting a paper towel on the machine where it drips.

Another reservation is that the mug is not really stainless steel - only from the outside. On the inside it is lined with plastic. You can use your own mug if it fits well on the machine.

As common with plastic coffee maker there are complaints of a bad plastic taste of the coffee. Washing, rinsing and running some cycles of water and white vinegar may help. Perhaps the plastic taste is because of the mug which is plastic inside.

Another reported shortcoming is that the lid may be too tight on the cup and hard to remove.

It is a very affordable single serve coffee maker, though, so you may want to give it a try for that price.
